FLYING FOX

Flying Fox, a megabat and one of the largest bats in the world. It is a native of Australia. These bats unlike, the insectivorus bats feed on fruits and do not have echolocation. They rely on eyesight to locate food and hence have large eyes. This Flying Fox was spotted in Sydney on a fig tree. Flash had to be used for the photo as it was pitch dark and only the eyes were visible.
